About Grafton
Grafton Derryberry
RDCS
Grafton’s career path is a testament to his diverse experiences and unwavering dedication to healthcare. Starting out with aspirations to become a paralegal, Grafton’s journey began in a law firm, where he quickly realized his true passion lay in a different field. Eager to make a meaningful impact, he enlisted in the U.S. Army to train in healthcare.
In the Army, Grafton served as a team leader, skillfully managing the transportation of essential military equipment. He also trained as a Licensed Practical Nurse, providing compassionate care in the burn unit of a Department of Defense trauma center. It was here that Grafton’s interest in medical diagnostic testing truly took root.
Driven by this passion, Grafton trained as a Polysomnographic Technologist, conducting vital sleep studies for patients with apnea and other sleep disorders. This experience paved the way for his studies in Diagnostic Medical Sonography with a cardiology specialty. In 2021, he became a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, taking on a full-time role at a hospital where he performed a wide range of echocardiographic procedures. His dedication to education also saw him mentoring cardiac ultrasound students, sharing his knowledge and expertise.
An exciting opportunity then led Grafton into the world of veterinary medicine. The prospect of using his skills to care for animals was exhilarating. With intensive training, he successfully transitioned his echocardiographic expertise to veterinary diagnostics, where he now passionately provides high-quality imaging for pets and their loving owners.
At home, Grafton enjoys the company of his wife, their loyal dog, playful cats, and both fresh and saltwater fish. He finds joy in hiking, riding motorcycles, kayaking, swimming, and fishing, embracing the adventure in both his personal and professional life.
Grafton’s commitment to excellence ensures that every pet he helps receives the best possible care, bringing peace of mind to their owners and enhancing the well-being of beloved animals.
